Praying for God's Grace and Mercy

My step Dad, Jim, is very ill. He was admitted today at U of M hospital in Ann Arbor. He has a rare form of cancer, soft tissue sarcoma. He has lived with it for two years. When it was first diagnosed they treated him with chemo and radiation. The treatments were intense. Then he had surgery to remove tissue in his abdominal wall. A year later he had a second surgery to remove more tissue and to full in his side with a mesh to fill out is tummy. Now the cancer back. He has a mass about the size of a grapefruit in his bowels. In very rare cases, these tumors develop in the gastrointestinal tract. A small percentage of these are GISTs. Malignant GISTs occur most commonly in the stomach and small intestine. He has had his lifetime amount of chemo and radiation. He is too weak for surgery. He went from a healthy 165# man to a very sick less than 120# man. At this point all we can do is pray. I do believe in miracles. I'm praying he will heal. But, this is all out of my control. I have to put it in God's hands and he will do the right thing. I pray for comfort for my Dad. I want him to know he is loved and revered.
Very sad at this time.
